This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainable farming, biodiversity, community learning, and creating a place where people can connect with nature. From our monthly farmers' markets and hands-on workshops to farm experiences and educational tours, we strive to give visitors a closer look at how we care for the land and support our local community.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports Solsgirth, visits the farm, and takes part in our events. Your encouragement and involvement help us continue building a farm that is forward-thinking, community-minded, and rooted in sustainable practice.

We are looking forward to attending the awards ceremony in Glasgow on 22 October 2026, where the very best of Scottish agriculture will come together to celebrate excellence across the industry. We are honoured to be named alongside our fellow finalists:

  • Alderston Mains

  • Cooper Farms

Last year's winner was Upper Locharwoods Farm (Firth Farming) in Dumfries. The Jamieson family were recognised for their commitment to sustainability, and their journey continues to be an inspiration to farming families throughout Scotland.

Being named a finalist is a tremendous achievement and recognition of the hard work of everyone involved at Solsgirth Home Farm. It reflects our dedication to creating a sustainable, welcoming, and educational experience for all who visit. This recognition also provides an opportunity to showcase the farm to a wider audience and connect with farmers, businesses, and food enthusiasts who share our passion for sustainable farming, rural life, and the future of Scottish agriculture.

Whatever happens on the night, we are incredibly proud to have reached the final and to represent Clackmannanshire

alongside some of Scotland's most inspiring farming businesses.
