Description
Create your own textile landscape, using remnants of tweed and tartan, vintage threads and sustainably sourced fabrics. You will be guided by Sue of Sunshine Designs Dollar, who is an experienced teacher and textile enthusiast. Sue has hosted sell out textile workshops at The Edinburgh Fringe and loves to share her passions for textiles and creativity. Tweed and Tartan are two textile symbols of Scotland. They have a history and cultural importance to Scotland and to textile lovers worldwide. This workshop is an opportunity to create your own textile landscape using remnants of tweed, tartan, and a range of upcycled fabrics and vintage threads. Time: 2 ½ hour workshop with break for refreshments in the dining room. No experience required. All fabric, tools and equipment supplied. Suitable for beginners and experienced stitchers alike.
